I aim to produce affordable & accessible leather goods for everyone but truth be told, I know how sometimes a $350 handbag is just not in the budget. I get it. I work very hard on my pricing to make sure everything is up to date and you will see price adjustments on my site every now and then (we recently did just that as prices on some items are slightly higher… more on that later). I was online shopping a few months ago and came across a wonderful service called AfterPay. It’s actually rather genius- it allows you to pay items off in 4 easy installments so you’re not having to put down $350 on that amazing new leather bag you just saw ;-). PLUS, you get the item right away. You don’t have to wait until that leather bag is paid off. It’s become very popular especially because there’s no added interest or hidden charges when all 4 payments are paid on time. It also works great on my end. Orders come in and I can ship the product right away, just like a regular sale and I get the funds right away. Win, Win, folks!
I want everyone to have good leather goods and Afterpay just makes it a bit easier. You’ll see the option to use it in the payment section of the check-out process. I hope this helps!
Since the last post, I had our baby! My husband & I welcomed a baby girl into our family and we couldn’t be happier (photo below taken by good friend and our photographer, Carey Kirkella). While I’m still working, I’m having to adjust to the new, sometimes random schedule. But rest assured, our online shop is still open and all orders are going out on time.
In addition to that, our Annie Duffle is currently in production at our NYC manufacturer. We’re restocking classic black and introducing a new color we have yet to name- it’s a perfect grey/taupe that we fell in love with! Everything should be in stock within the next two weeks so stay tuned. Or better yet, sign up for our newsletter and be the first to know when we drop new styles/colors- plus, you’ll receive 10% off your order for signing up!
We’ve been using the hashtag #knowyourbag for a little while now and we want to talk more about that. Here at Shana Luther Handbags, we’re super duper proud to be made in America and hopefully, you like that about us too! We want you to know what goes into the making of our goods and where our materials come from- if you’re a past customer of ours you’re familiar with our behind the scenes shots at our local manufacturer. Clearly, transparency is important to us. Our leather is sourced from a tannery in Napa, California (if not here in NYC) and our signature cotton lining is also an import from California. Our hardware is shipped from a company we’ve been using with for years and they’re based in Ohio (we always get a friendly person on the line when we call, thanks guys). Last but certainly not least, our bags are small-batch manufactured right here in Brooklyn, NYC’s garment district, or handmade in the Shana Luther studio.
We want you to KNOW YOUR BAG and feel good about your purchase so if you ever have any questions about our products, please don’t hesitate to drop us a line.
