Veg tan. What is it? We've been using the beautiful leather on our wallets and dopp kits for a few seasons now but I wanted to explain a little bit more about the leather itself. Vegetable tanned leather is tanned without the use of chemicals. The process involves tanning with organic matter, such as tree bark, leaves, nuts, etc. Because of this, the leather is not treated with a protectant. In other words, your veg tan goods will collect marks from normal use. We think this really only adds beauty and character to your piece and makes it unique to you. How cool is that?
